Spencer Pheil Releases "Thunder Smile" and WTJU's Peter Jones Raves about it!

Spencer Pheil Band released its new album “Thunder Smile”, which features 11 instrumental tracks, including 9 original works from Spencer Pheil, current guitarist for Stable Shakers, and former guitarist for The Hello Strangers.

Peter Jones at WTJU had the following to say about the album:

"A smile always comes to my face when a great instrumental album arrives  at WTJU.  The new Spencer Pheil Band album, "Thunder Smile", does just  that and then some.  These musicians blend jazz, country, folk, roots  and a whole lot more with their own wonderful spin."

The other will feature vocals from Brechyn Chace of The Hello Strangers, who has also joined the band on tour.

Both albums feature original songs written by songwriter and guitarist Spencer Pheil, and will feature several guest musicians from keyboardists, to backing vocalists, and potentially new and exciting instrumentation that you'll hear for the first time in Stable Shakers!

Brechyn Chace Joins Stable Shakers on Vocals

Brechyn Chace, one half of the Austin-influenced, rural-Pennsylvanian, indie sister-folk band The Hello Strangers has joined the Stable Shakers as the featured vocalist. She adds another layer of unbelievable talent, energy, and a remarkable versatility - segueing from country ballad, to swinging jazz, to sultry blues all with an undeniable folky flair.
